چکیده
Abstract Background Central venous catheterization (CVC) is a commonly used procedure in pediatric surgery and intensive care units. For some reasons, catheterizations children are technically more difficult comparison to adult patients. The purpose of this study evaluate the CVC procedures performed with aid anatomic landmarks by experienced (35, 14, 4 years experience) anesthesiologists associated complications. A total 498 cases under age 18 who underwent (temporary, port, or Hickman) between 2014 2017 were included retrospective study. All catheters inserted landmarks. Results mean patients was 47.1 ± 59.2 months 54.8% male. By using anatomical landmarks, average success rate central calculated as 98.6%. Complications developed arterial puncture 8% ( n 40), temporary arrhythmia 6.2% 31) pneumothorax 1.4% 7) Only multiple punctures p = 0.005) lasting than 10 min (the time blood return from catheter, 0.017) found be experience practitioner had no effect on development complications 0.354). Conclusions In CVCs seen frequently children. Even though decrease overall complication rates detected hands, it that does not eliminate insertions

The Impact of Central Venous Catheters on Pediatric Venous Thromboembolism
The use of central venous catheters (CVCs) in children is escalating, which is likely linked to the increased incidence of pediatric venous thromboembolism (VTE). In order to better understand the specific risk factors associated with CVC-VTE in children, as well as available prevention methods, a literature review was performed. The overall incidence of CVC-VTE was found to range from 0 to 74%...

Central venous catheterisation was first performed in 1929when Werner Frossman, a German doctor, inserted a ureteric catheter into his antecubital vein. He then walked to the radiography department so that the catheter could be guided into his right ventricle using fluoroscopy. Since then, central venous access has become amainstay of modern clinical practice. An estimated 200 000 central venou...

incidences in the landmark group of carotid artery puncture (10.6%), hemothorax (1.7%), and pneumothorax (2.4%) greater than most anesthesiologists would accept. Thus it is not surprising that meta-analysis of these disparate studies (which have not been scored by traditional methods to assess for bias and scientific rigor) would find statistical significance only in success of line insertion. ...
